Street Spirit Films is happy to announce that the short screenplay, "Sunny," has been officially nominated for the Indie Film & Screenplay Festival 2026.
Sunny was written by M.F. Thompson after extensive research and consultation with anti-trafficking organizations and law enforcement regarding the illicit massage parlor industry, or commonly shortened as IMP.
About Sunny
Sunny follows, Jian, an undocumented woman and devoted mother who leads a precarious double life within the illicit massage industry as "Sunny." She must battle a predatory debt and the owner of the massage parlor, who has taken her password, to ensure the survival of the family she hasn’t seen in years.
About The Indie Film & Screenplay International Festival
Now in its 13th year, the Indie Film & Screenplay International Festival stands as a beacon for filmmakers and screenwriters worldwide, offering a platform to showcase their unique stories and creative visions.
The event will take place on March 5th, 2026 in Antwerpen, Vlaanderen at Hotel Antwerpen.
